Bangka Belitung Governor Sherly Tjoanda told Indonesia's House of Representatives that she has not received certainty over 16,000 hectares of land intended for farmers, news.detik.com reports. She raised the issue during a hearing at the DPR in Jakarta, according to the outlet.
Kompas.com reported that Tjoanda described the situation as being left without follow-through by the ministry led by Nusron for about a year. The same report framed her appearance as a complaint brought directly to lawmakers.
The wider session dealt with coordination between the central government and regional administrations on spatial planning, mining permits, state assets and agrarian matters, according to the Bangka Belitung provincial government. The Banyuasin regent also took part in a Commission II working meeting and hearing on assets and agrarian reform, the regency's website said.
